Conditions we treat

What we treat, and treat well.

Depression

Depression, including long-term, recurring, or treatment-resistant. Diagnosis, medication, and ongoing review.

Anxiety disorders

Generalised anxiety, panic, social anxiety, and OCD. When medication management benefits from specialist input.

Bipolar spectrum

Bipolar I, Bipolar II, and related conditions. Diagnosis, mood stabilisation, and ongoing review.

ADHD (ongoing)

Ongoing care for adults already diagnosed with ADHD. Medication, review, and shared care with your GP.

PTSD & trauma

Assessment and treatment for trauma and PTSD. We coordinate with psychology when therapy is part of the plan.

Medication review

A full review of your current psychiatric medications. We send a written plan back to your GP.

Shared care model

We initiate. Your GP prescribes.

Once treatment is stable, ongoing prescriptions go through your GP. We review with you every 3–6 months, write to your GP after each visit, and stay available between reviews for clinical questions.

  • Specialist initiation and titration
  • Written consultation letter after every review
  • GP holds the ongoing prescription
  • Same-day / next-day callback for clinical queries
  • Review with us every 3–6 months

Telehealth

In person first, telehealth after that.

Your first appointment is preferably in person at our Melbourne clinic. Once we know you, review consultations can be telehealth across Victoria, which makes ongoing care viable for regional patients and saves a half-day off work for everyone else.

Mental health nursing

Someone to talk to, before and between appointments.

Our mental health nurse practitioner runs the intake call, gathers background, and stays available for care coordination, follow-up and questions between psychiatry reviews.

  • Initial intake call with every new patient
  • Pre-assessment screening and forms
  • Follow-up support between psychiatrist reviews
  • Care coordination with GPs and psychologists
  • Reachable for non-urgent clinical questions

No referral required

Mental health nursing appointments are open access. You don't need a referral to book one. A referral is only needed if you'd like to see the psychiatrist or claim a Medicare rebate for the psychiatry consult itself.
